Meet the Winner of Juicy J’s $50,000 Twerking Scholarship

This post is about the importance of reading beyond headlines. Many times, I’ve seen Facebook and Twitter posts, mainly from those in the African American community posting and re-posting wrong information simply because of a misleading headline without even reading the story. This leads to wrong information getting out there and more of us in the dark about what’s really going on in the world. If this young lady had only read the headline, she would have either: A. Put on her best stripper outfit and went to town or B. Been completely turned off by the fact this is even a competition and totally missed out on an opportunity to help further her education . But instead, she looked into it further and went to work stating why she deserved this scholarship. I applaud her for reading beyond the headline, seeing past what the media was trying to make this out to be, and putting in work to win this scholarship.
P.S. I wonder how many twerking videos Juicy J actually received because of this.
